When I go to change my oil after 6 months I am 2 quarts low. I use Mobil 1 Synthetic and usually have only put around 3K miles during that time. I currently have around 95K on my 2004 Marauder and I am not leaking oil anywhere and have had all the seals replaced less than a year ago. Since I am confident that I am burning this oil should I just change my oil more frequently or just top off any missing oil every month? Also should I be concerned this is happening or is this normal for this car with this amount of age/mileage to do this? I have read that a lot of cars burn 1 quart between oil changes and that is normal. I just want to know what is best practice and what has everyone else experienced withe their marauder? Last I was curious at what mileage has anyone rebuilt or replaced the engine of their marauder and if one option is better than another? Any help or advice on all this is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Down 2qts of oil per change interval.

I'd be looking for an engine

How many quarts do you put in at oil change time?

I change at 3-4,000 miles and never add oil on an S/C OEM engine 95K miles or a Cobra engine 112K miles.

I change it once a year anymore with around 1,000 miles of heavy footed city driving and lose nothing at all.

Still clean as new when I change it and my internals are bright and shiny.

If you ever pull your timing cover or cam covers you’ll see exactly how it was treated.

Check your oil filter adapter gasket for any leaks

My 244,000 Marauder will use a quart every 1000-1500 miles.

These engines do not burn oil even high mile ones so yours has a problem of some sort but may still run a lot farther just burn oil only time / miles will tell. Running it two quarts low is not good so you need to add as needed, also if you are using 5w20 you could go to 5w30 or 10w30. This may reduce the burning but won't fix the problem. On the rare chance the PCV valve is drawing to much changing is not expensive and worth doing other than that just drive it and keep it full of oil.

They burn oil, check it every Friday morning and top off as needed.
i use 1/2 5-20 and 1/2 10-30 oils on my higher mileage motors
