Hi guys ...... I Just picked up a 2003 Marauder. Im having some overheating issues it looks to be a leaking intake gasket. Any tips on replacing that? I picked my 2003 Marauder at auction in Long Island New York. It has kook Headers, K&N CAI, BAER brake system, also there a cat back x pipe system with cut outs. I really dont know much about these mods or other mods it may have. I was looking for some suggestions or help so i can figue out whats going on. 506175061650618

Many overheat issues due to air trapped in system..if anyone before you changed tstat, or opened system up, air can get in and cause a pocket that won't circulate. There is a burping procedure to rid system of air and still be full of coolant. Unless you see coolant leaking evidence, try this first

Baer no longer makes the marauder front brake kit, not sure about replacement parts.

It seems as if the coolant is not circulating properly. I have no idea on what the issue is but im hoping its not a head gasket issue.

You have air in system..these motors require them to be burped..read the link above

Burp it, as described in post #3 link

Follow the instructions to burp the system of air..it has to be done or you won't fix it

This already seems to be a lost cause

Ok..... So far so GOOD........ the heat is blowing hot and the temp gauge is right in the middle.

Sounds like trapped air was a problem. Sometimes people put in a Mustang thermostat thinking it's the same. They're different. I believe there are only 2 options that work right. Stock or the lower temperature and expensive one from Reiche. Getting it burped is key. It usually takes several times to get all of the air out. Most of the temp gauges point approximately to the 20 mph speedo mark.

Even RockAuto sometimes lists the GM stat as same for MM and it will not work for MM.
