First, let me again say that Marauder owners are the best*! Thanks Donny :up:
I'll be coming down there to pick up a 1980 Ford shortbox stepside pickup cause I need the box to finish my restoration on my other truck. The seller tells me the C6 is slipping in 2nd gear a bit. 1090+ miles is just a little over my comfort zone to drive all the way back with a tranny that -may- be ready to hit the skids, but I'd feel better if there was a shop around there somewhere that would be willing to look at it on the 28th or 29th and adjust the 2nd gear bands (which is my guess, having rebuilt them before).
If someone would be kind enough to help me line something up I would be most grateful... Not really looking to tear it out of the truck, but just have the bands adjusted and change the filter and fluids just to make sure.
Specs on the truck:
1980 F150 with a 460, C6 automatic and 4x4.
Anything else the shop needs, just PM me with a phone number to confirm the appointment is fine.
