So I've had the typical dash mat on my car. Not sure what brand. And then I came across the listing for the CoverKing molded carpet dash mat. Can't tell from the general picture what ours looks like but the "molded" part intrigued me. So I read through a bunch of the 500 reviews (well I quit at some point) but did find a review by a 2006 Crown Vic owner. Says it was a good mat but wished it was a bit more molded for our dashes. Anyone have a picture of what a molded dash mat for our cars looks like? How much extra coverage does it have around the edges, etc.?

Seems to me Bigdogjim had one, but I don't know the brand. I'd bet he lurks here from time to time. Send him a quick PM and maybe he'll respond.

If you noticed, the MM's dash is almost flat so you don't need anything molded.

True, so that is why I wondered what was different about it. I've seen better dash mats on other cars than the one I got though that has more coverage like on the sides with a flap that fits between the door and the dash, and comes down over some of the air bag, etc. and stuff like that. For my old 1988 Crown Vic which has a flat dashboard, it is pretty simple but my brother ordered the exact same dash mat but put in 1988 Grand Marquis and it had more coverage. And my rear deck one was wrong but his fit right. So wondered who had the best dash mats.
