As some of you may know. I am in the process of building a backup motor for my 2003 Marauder. While heavy into Ford pushrod motors, the Mod motor is relatively new for me as it come to modifying one. As a result, I am using this site extensively as I gather parts and information.

I have a '99 Teksid block and 2003 SVT Cobra crank and heads. I have come to understand there are possibly three different timng chain covers for the 4.6 DOHC motor and am trying to determine which timing cover I should use for this initial NA (I made go blown later) motor.

I am sure some of you have made or built a similar motor and I would appreciate any insights as to which timing cover was used. I am also interested in purchasing the timing cover.

Thanks!

All depends on what type of power adder you may end up with in the future.

Centri- I would use a 99-00 Cobra cover with a 3 bolt tensioner. This with an 8 rib setup will guarantee -0- belt slip

PD blower- Marauder timing cover with Jerry's HD Eaton swap brackets. Way cleaner than a Terminator front dress in my opinion

Turbski- Either will work as it wont matter turbo's aren't belt driven

Musclemerc: Thanks for your input!

Right now, my future plan is tentatively to go with the Eaton, so Marauder timing cover it will be.

Anybody here got one for sale?

Still looking for a timing cover.

Do anyone know whether or not the Aviator and Marauder have the exact same timing cover?

Nope, the Avaitor and MM are not the same.

The Mach1 is the same as a MM
