For those who don't know, the Super Marauder engine option was real and offered for the 1958 model year only and was available in ANY Mercury model. Only an estimated 100 Super Marauder powertrains were ordered and installed. Below are magazine articles from the period.

Wonder how fast in the 1/4.

I'm pretty sure they were in the mid to high 15 range. A clone with a 3-speed manual (not available) and gears with posi (not available) built for the pure stock drags ran very low 14s.
