Hello guys,
I am having a problem with my Marauder. I have already replaced the thermostat and water pump and no dice. My car is still overheating. What could be the problem? Also, the heat inside the car doesn't warm up, it just blows cold air. Any suggestions?
Thank you,
JF

A well known issue with a well known solution. How long have you been familiar with the Marauder (or Panther) community?

Air in the system. Needs to be burped.

You have air in system, follow burp procedure listed, cold air only blowing is possibly bad blend door actuator. Google EATC self test and post any codes displayed. The test may also fix the issue temporarily.

I have the same exact issue. Overheating. I am going to replace the thermostat and burp the system. Is the correct part number for the thermostat: Motorcraft RT1085?

A well known issue with a well known solution. How long have you been familiar with the Marauder (or Panther) community? This may be the least helpful response to a thread I've ever seen in my life. A "well known issue with a well known solution" might not be that commonplace to someone with a low post count like the OP. :shake::shake::shake:
As others have said, more constructively, air in the system is the likely culprit and you should follow the burp procedures posted above.

In case you failed to notice, this was posted under 'The Classic Lounge'. Thinking my response was appropriate and polite. Glad the OP found what he was looking for.

Don't trust some of the aftermarket thermostats listed for the Marauder. Some of them are the incorrect thermostate.

Thinking the rule of thumb here is OEM. One of the few deviations I'm aware of is air suspension components as the aftermarket pieces reportedly work well and are substantially less expensive.
