View Full Version : Vacuum line diameter/ EATC
Finally found EATC issue -vacuum line was cut clean in half where it goes through firewall, of course I did the o ring fix before checking to see if there was vacuum to the unit! . Anyone know the outside diameter of the hard black plastic vac line that feeds the EATC? Need to get a rubber hose to splice it...thx
Had an old piece of Vacuum line, it did the trick- for now. Once this lockdown is over I'll get a new piece of hose. Turns out a mouse ate through the grommet and vac line!

My brothers CVPI had a leak in the same area. I believe I used heat shrink tubing to fix it. IIRC, was able to slide the tubing on from one end and then shrink it in place to seal the leak.

I'd replace it all with the correct sized rubber tubing.
I would love to change out all the lines but I had a hell of a time just getting my hand up by the firewall to do the splice! Don't know if I would be able to snake a new one from the motor through the firewall, cant even see the grommet from under the car.

Take out the cowl assembly, probably needs to be cleaned out anyway.

Our issue was just a small break in one of the hard plastic lines. Originally was able to fix it with the cowl in, but there's tons of room with it out.

That's the problem with a cheesy hose.
That's a lot more room, probably would have been easier to do the blower module too...Burt- saw what you did there 'mouse'....'cheesy' - humor:D
