does anyone have any tips to pass along to a shop doing the install of the stage 1 transmission rebuild kit from Dennis? I'd like to tell them what parts go where... or is so self explanatory a decent speed shop familiar with the 4.6l engine and trans would be able to figure out?

No intent to flame here....but if you are utilizing a performance tranny shop the not only does daily drivers, but race cars....they'll know.
Just dropped mine off a few minutes ago and the owner needed no instruction at all.

good to know. I should guage the shop by the mere fact if they know what the heck this stuff is in the kit..I'm sure my shop will know what to do.. was just thinking ahead.. and if they don't..then find a new shop
by the way Barry, wher'd ya get all that blue hose stuff? did you just by several feet in a few sizes and stick it over the wires? is each piece slit along the bottom to fit over the wires, or did you unconnect every wire and run it through the blue hose? refering to your pic in your garage

I'd use a tranny shop that is recommended by people who have used one, particularly folks in the racing community.

It's called 'wire loom', and SUMMIT RACING has it in every imaginable color. It is already slitted, available in mix kits, or specific sizes, and the puchase of matching color tape and tie wraps is a nice touch.
