Will the CVPI oil cooler and block adapter fit the DOHC engine?
If not, how about using the cooler in conjunction with a remote oil filter adapter?
For anyone not familiar with these units, they are oil-to-water heat exchangers which connect in line with the radiator hose.

I thought our motors already HAD an oil-to-water cooler?

Are there Oil to Air coolers that can be added?

Yes, lots of aftermarket units are available, but the CVPI unit is an OEM Ford part.

High oil temps on these engines are basically a product of sustained very high RPMs. If you use synthetic oil, unless you are doing a major soup up, you really won't need a cooler.

Since the block is basically the same, the PI oil cooler should fit. There might be interference with the front ant-sway bar though, so you may have to go to the PI anti-sway bar as well
