How are you guys routing your battery cables? Alternator wires? What gauge wire are you using?

I was thinking of cutting off the original ground from the timing cover and grounding that to the frame on the passenger side. Then I was going to run a short but thicker cable from the battery direct to the frame on the driver's side.

For the positive wire, I was going to run it across the top of the header panel and solder splice it into the existing cable going to the starter.

Pictures are worth 1000 words if you got em.

Thanks bros.

I'd recommend at least 4 gauge wire.

Don't splice any wires as you could run into problems in the future. Run a new length of cable. Solder and heat shrink all connections. Change out the battery terminals.

You NEED a ground from the battery to the engine. The engineers that designed the electrical system knew what they were doing.
