This Ghost originally visited in the Forum: Wilwood Brake Rotor Hats Discoloration: 10-19-15. Architect
You may review that post first.....

Several suggestions were provided BUT no actual real CORRECTIVE APPLICATIONS...
So being too afraid OR SMART... to take those recommendations... I have taken the path to proceed on NONE OF THEM...
(THIS WAS ONLY 5 YEARS AGO)

Has anyone actually recoated there Wilwood Brake Rotor Hats SUCESSFULLY???????

OK... NO Theory's ... what we want is facts...
I will even take Failures... that we may eliminate those... To help us to proceed on a
actuals restoration that will free us of "the ghost of Wilwood's past"...

Signed "Scrooge"

Buy new ones or powder coat them

Since there was no link to the first thread started in 2015, I'll just ask if you have tried Todd at TCE or the Wilwood company itself for answers?

I had a set of the Baer rotors and the hats turned purple. I had the hats re anodized black and they still turned purple. My suggestion would be powdercoat too.

Contact Todd at TCE..he built the Marauder kits using Wilwood components, without Wilwood part numbers they prolly won't be much help since they have no Marauder kits themself
