LOL! Proof I enjoy my car! [emoji16]
Besides, notice the jack stands? I have a POS single seat dune buggy project taking up residency on the lift of course..

Nope, honestly I’ve been thinking about it all day and I’m still hit or miss on a truetrac or simply picking up some used spiders and calling it a day? Silly I know but this diff was installed right before MV9 and everything appears to be excellent besides the spiders (obviously), one tiny tiny nick in one pinion tooth, and a finger nail thick sliver of metal knocked off the very edge of the diff? I’ve never witnessed a spider shattering in pieces like that myself? Not sure of the cause but I don’t see a physical problem with just reusing at this point.
It was a very sudden clutch lift on a sharp left turn (trying not to spin tires though) trying to get out of an intersection thanks to an speeding red lighter who was back and forth on whether to stop or not. Seriously, she must’ve hit her brake five times and decided she wasn’t stopping. C you next Tuesday even had the balls to shoot me a crusty face and honk at me? I was sitting and waiting. Surely wasn’t gonna pull out in n front of crazy lady..
Anyways, I need it trust worthy for the next owner as I think that time has come. It was plenty good for many years with the Ford Racing diff, but we shall see. Simply too many cool azz cars out there I want and time is ticking.

Was that your 4.10's or 4.30's? With all the torque maybe put the 3.55's back in, or even 3.27's.

4.10’s
I did give it some thought in regards to the 3.55’s to pick up some longer gearing down low. I’ve got plenty of power to easily make up any kind of a difference. Of course that would render 6th even more useless of a gear than it is now.
It’s pretty much perfect as is, I’m just being picky. First gear would probably be a wash with any rear gearing I’d imagine.

Does anyone happen to have the part numbers on hand for the truetrack as well as the Auburn Pro series before I start searching?

I have a Eaton true trac in my black.
It is a little loud at times when accelerating. Otherwise no problems.

Appreciate the honesty! I’ve heard one members car backing up years ago and it sounded worse than mine currently! I just don’t recall if he had the Auburn or the Eaton?

Well I just about researched carriers to death at this point and actually went a different route due to nonstop reading of clunky sounding units from Eaton and Auburn.
I decided on Yukon’s Dura Grip. I’ve had excellent luck with their gear set I bought back in ‘13 and their customer service is top notch, like as in they not only pick up their phone but they help however they can and really seem to enjoy it even. [emoji1303]
Anyways new diff, install kit, and two rounds of fluid and modifier due in between now and Tuesday.

Too bad Yukon didn't offer their Ford Trac Loc for an 8.8". Those have 4 pinion/spider gears. I'm sure the Dura grip will be just fine.
