So please join us in celebrating the life of Jim (James Kelly) at Our Lady of Calvary Church, 11024 Knights Rd, on Saturday August 7. Viewing begins at 9:30, with mass to follow at 11. Jim enjoyed seeing everyone dressed up, but he enjoyed casual wear more! Dress in the energy you felt when around Jim, whether that be Bbq gear or Walmart fashion! Don’t forget to bring your smiles, laughter and willingness to jam at his “bash” after the mass! ROCK ON!!!

So if your free August 7th and in the area of NE Philadelphia, swing by with your Marauder, even if it’s just to give a honk / or as Jim would say “smoke’em” as you go by, his will be proudly on display. 2004 Silver Birch Marauder.

Great member, sorry to hear of his passing.

Such sad news! Condolences to his friends and family. "Wee Jim", as Mr. Man & I affectionately called him, will be sorely missed. I couldn't help but like and respect him from Go....after all he drove the very best of Marauders (Silver Birch of course) and was a proud member of the Silver Birch Society, just like me. What's not to love! Beyond that, it turns out Jim was a down to earth, very sweet, generous and genuine guy. He was the one who made sure we always had hot Philly pretzels and mustard at each and every Carlisle All Fords and hand delivered them bright and early to the show field. He had a kind word for all as well as a great sense of humor. We laughed a lot. I missed the last 2 Carlisle meets and now I'm sorry I didn't get to see Jim one last time. Rest in peace my friend, you are missed already.

So sad to hear this....
Jim was a great guy.
I would always laugh when he would remind me that he was 'the smaller Jim Kelly'.

Jim always was smiling and able to make me laugh. I’ll miss sharing a beverage with him on the hill at Carlisle or going to car shows he invited me to in Philly. RIP Little Big Dog.

Very sad to hear about Jim's passing. He always let me know about car shows in the area and was a great guy to hang out with. Northeast Philly won't be the same. RIP Jim Kelly.

Thank you I will be sharing all of your thoughts and memories with his daughters.

In a letter to Jim’s daughters in the event of his passing they were instructed “When gone post on site to let them know I am in Marauder heaven doing burnouts and going 100 MPH with Mom.”

Also if you haven’t read the obituary, know there was a special shout out to his “car show comrades—especially his fellow maurauder owners” in there.

I'm glad that I went to his memorial service. Did a burn out in his honor after his son did the first one in Jim's marauder.

I'm glad that I went to his memorial service. Did a burn out in his honor after his son did the first one in Jim's marauder. That's awesome, John, and very fitting....SB and all. I can just imagine how that would make Jim smile.

Jim flew out to Seattle a few years back. He was taking his wife's ashes to be spread somewhere where she grew up in the PNW

He reached out to me since I was a known commodity of the east coast Marauder scene before I moved west.

I picked him up in my Marauder at his hotel where he was staying and took him to a local car show/cruise event. We chatted about this, that, and the other but when you're talking to a genuine friend, the topics don't matter

He had a wonderful time going up and down the aisles of Fords, Mopars, Chevy's and even imports. We talked about his Marauder, my Marauder, other people's Marauders and he always had a positive disposition

I drove him back to his hotel (even though i offered multiple times for him to come stay at the house), but he politely refused. We shook hands and I told him i'd catch up again with him next time in Carlisle, PA
