HAH!

I drove the exact same '84 dark blue GM all thru high school. It would do burnouts stock - too bad my MM wouldn't!

I called it my "little limo" because of the plush interior.

Then it became my brother's car and he let it go completely to sh**. How sad.

Great car, though. I remember highway trips and this car was smooth all the way up to and including 100 MPH.

Many a date ended up in the back seat, too. :censor:

Ah, those were the days.

Now the baby seat takes up almost half the MM's back seat, so no foolin' around in there . . .. Leather seats, anyway. :nono:

Yup! ^^^what you said! The back seat of my old Cougar served me well in High School too!

It had a 351M under the hood and could smoke the tires at will.

Hey GM_G,.. that vinal looks great.. is it original?

Welcome aboard, Grand Marquis G. I've got a 1992 GM LS with the Handling and Performance package.

Welcome!

I was always partial to that model...and it looks like the temperate weather has been good to you. We have an 89 in the family as a beater, but the Cleveland salt have NOT been good to her over the years. With 109,000 miles it still breaks the tires loose....too bad the heater doesn't work so well, and the brakes, and the wipers, and.....:P

Thanks everyone!

And its got 110K on the clock, and i was hoping to drop a 460 in it, but it prob going to go 5.0 HO/T5..

It aint what i would call fast, CFI 302/AOD/3.08 open, and those tires bite on EVERYTHING. I installed those 2.25" side exit duals myself, with glasspacks...

Its a nice ride however, and the second one ive onwed... Thanks for the hearty welcome!

And yes, that vinyl is original, but faiding and peeling in a couple places...im removing it when i repaint.

Welcome, Ive also got an 83 GM with 287,000 miles on her, only things replaced so far was a timing chain and water pump, and still gets 23-4 mpg. It could use a new body tho and is used for my winter car since this is Mich we live in, got ta save the 63 and the Linc. so it's the most abused car we have but it can take it. Love to see a car that looks nice and 20 years old, your lucky your in FL... 460, what for, I know a guy that has his 5.0 putting out 450 hp in his GM. :rasta:
