Hi Guys: Lencac here. Was wondering what you guys think about putting a line-lock on the Marauder. If so does anybody make a kit for that?
Thanks for any insight.

Standard line lock will work.

I heard that there may be a difference installing them on an '03 vs an '04.

I’m pretty sure Justbob has one. Maybe he’ll chime in?

I see you have an ‘03, good for you as it’s easier. I installed mine long before I purchased an awesome flaring kit. Every fitting I used came from Advance Auto’s shelf. Quick, simple, and no need to modify the factory line.

From what I recall the factory fitting at the master was a 10mm bubble and the Hurst line locks come with standard IP threads. Basically you just bolt the line lock to the fender well, unhook your line off the master and swing it over a little add an adapter fitting and a 10” or so already flared line and plug it into the line lock out port. Then you add another short line from the line lock in port to an adapter screwed into the master.

I just used a $4 door bell button from Home Depot and mounted it to the A pillar. Run a line from your brake light switch to the trigger, then off the trigger to the line lock red wire and find a close by ground. Easy Peasy and fully reversible in minutes.

I’ll try to to find my thread on it to help you. If I can’t find it I’ll grab some pics. But zero need for any kits.

Never mind the mess as it’s been a few years since I’ve done any actual detailing LOL And by all mean scour around this site as I’ve seen a couple of installs that were way slicker in the looks department. In all seriousness I spent probably 40 minutes at the store making sure all the adapters would work and under 20 minutes for the actual install. Can’t say I’ve ever needed it but it has come in fun a few times doing 3rd gear rips and letting off when the speedo hits the triples… It was useful at the track, more so after the manual swap obviously.

Pic 1 is the old factory line moved over slightly and heading to the out port.

Pic 2 is where it leaves the master and runs underneath towards the line locks in port.

Pic 3 is the continuation to the line lock in port.

Pic4 is the momentary Home Depot switch mounted next to my worthless blue tooth mic.

After seeing that old thread I really need to clean up my install…

Back then I had that cheap Wilwood clutch master reservoir hanging off that master stud. Since then I piggy backed the brake reservoir with the clutch to tidy things up and now have more real estate..

Thanks…. [emoji17]

I have the Hurst line lock. It went in easily. I use it all the time at the track: flip switch, hit brake to set, do burn-out, un-flip switch and pull up to lights.
