I want to test the resistance on all of my coils, but am not able to find any references to testing them. Anybody know what they are supposed to read? Thanks

I don't know but I bet it's in the OEM maintenance manual

Don't know how to do this but let me tell you about my experience with coils. I have 234K on my 2004 Marauder and had 3 go over the years (1st, 5th and 8th cylinders as I recall). When they go the symptom is it feels like 7 of 8 cylinders are firing. To solve the problem from happening any time soon again my mechanic of 45 years who also services two other Marauders (maybe more not sure) suggested I replace the remaining 5 coils, so the problem won't happen when on a long road trip. Been running super ever since.

I just checked a known working set of Motorcraft coils. They all read .6 ohms. FYI, when I touched the leads together it read .1 ohms. I used a good quality Fluke meter.

My 8 were all within 0.556-0.585 so I guess they're all good then.
That was with my MAC tools meter.
