Currently have 8000K for my headlights and fog lights. Want to go with 6000K for the headlights and 12000K for the fogs...found some at Kensun.com, but was wondering what you guys are using...

I have 8000K in my heads and fogs. Shockingly, after 15 years they still work. From '99 to '08 I managed a premier custom stereo place and remember paying over a grand to do bulbs and six ballasts. I keep thinking about changing or "upgrading" but they still work fine. I cannot even remember the brand but this was new technology in 2007. I have HID in the Marauder and LED in the Town Car. They're similar in appearance but HID is better in these reflector housings. Also the light control and horizon are shockingly good.

I’ve had Kensun’s in my 150 for 5 years or so. One side is a tad slow to fire but they’ve always worked great. I believe they were 5-6000.

You realize anything past 6000k is dimmer than a halogen bulb, correct?
I also dumped the poverty beams ages ago, factory housings are trash and they aren't any better with a PnP bulb. I currently run Osram CBI D2S bulbs in all my cars these days.

Guess I better make sure I drive with my headlights on at night and not just rely only on my fog lights...:coolman:

That's the first time I've ever heard such a claim. Even with a completely tinted windshield, I feel like I am driving on white paper. My HID kit paints the way ahead.

The Kensun website says 12KK is blue and 15KK is 'darker blue'; also, I will have these bulbs as my fog lights and 6KK for my headlights...as I stated in first post...

Blue lights on a car could be an issue. It's illegal in NC per Kensun. I'm sure it's not widely enforced but you never know.

I upgraded my new Ranger to all LED bulbs. (Low Beams, High Beams & Fog)
Bright white light....the High Beams are retina melters!
I wouldn't consider HIDs anymore.

Meh, the law is a bit ambiguous in this matter. It talks about installing a blue light (note singular form) or 'neon' lights that are blue. After looking around it seems Kensun may be misleading a bit as 12000K does look more like purple than blue. Guess I'll look for 10000K instead, which Kensun doesn't have offered in the H1.
