My son and girlfriend are looking for a new medium size SUV, capable of pulling a small trailer. Hopefully comes with trailer hitch and wiring. Crossover maybe. And recommendations?? I prefer to stay away from GM due to Dexcool.

The explorer is a rear drive base so it is better for towing and i think they all come with a hitch.

We’ve had an Edge limited since 2013 and LOVE it! It’s only an N/A 3.5 and its the only car I’ve actually said had plenty of power from the factory. Thoroughly impressed.

Whats your idea of medium size, also budget? new or used?

A diesel X5 can tow up to 7000lbs, I'd find one with factory rear self leveling air ride though. Smaller trailer shouldn't be an issue without it.

Explorer and Lincoln Aviator Trailer Package is optional but a good option along with 400 HP 3.0.
