No, not that shop manual. I'm looking for the name of the manual or guide that tells how many hours labor is required for most tasks. I need the name of it as I would like to acquire one.

My main reason is I have need of knowing if what I'm being told is true. I don't want someone telling me "manual sez 13.5 hours to install some new plugs in that thar car."

Thanks - can someone hook me up with the name of the manual and where I might find one?

Both Motor and Chilton publish labor guides.

From experience, Chilton is the one that most people quote, least around here. It's a little more liberal in the times. It might say 1 hour for a 45 minute job.
