Hi guys,
I replaced the last portion of the brake lines with braided steel back when I was re-doing everything.
I heard a funny "thwump-thwump-thwump" noise while on a drive a couple a days ago. It sounded like it was in synch, roughly, with speed up or slowdown of the tires. Almost like a flat tire, but the car drove normally otherwise.
I've checked for obvious things and didn't see anything.
I put the car up on stands and noticed that the rear braided lines to the caliper are up against the rim. There is a tire balance weight that is installed hanging off the edge of the rim about 1/4 inch.
So, this may be the noise.
My question is, has anyone secured these lines away from the wheel so there is no contact, and if "yes" how did you do so?
Many thanks guys

You need to tighten them in a fashion that when fully tight they clear everything. If it hasn’t rubbed through then loosen, clock the line a tad, and re tighten.

I had the same issue when I installed mine. They'll look just fine until the wheels are on and there's weight on the axle. Mine rubbed.

Hey guys, thanks so much!
The lines have the plastic worn through, but the steel is ok. I will cover with clear tape after clocked and clear.
