Does anyone here us a mini spool?

Can you still use the C-Clips? I run Auto Cross events and want a better locking differential. Is a mini spool only to be used for drag racing? Just wondering how it would work on an auto cross course.

A mini spool will lock the axles 100% of the time, so unless you're looking to build a drift car or a drag car, this won't do any good for you especially if you still want to drive on the street.

Either go with the ford carbon clutch pack or step up to a torsen t2r

Yeah,
I think that a Spool would be horrible for Auto Cross.
They're pretty much for Drag racing/straight line only.
With both axles locked together while turning, the inside wheel starts to bind up, chirp and hop while the outside wheel tries to spin faster.
Torsen Differential is expensive, but is THE best way to go for Auto Cross and street driving.

Thanks. Probably time for a Torsen. The problems is it's getting harder to find someone that can set gears.
