when I turn my wheel to near lock, especially backing up, my end links from sway bar catches-knocks on inside hub... Firmly. I can't take it anymore. What can I do?

Center the swaybar and put a collar clamp on swaybar on the inside edge of each frame bushing. So 2 total.

Did you bend something? Hit a curb?

I honestly plan on taking my addcos off and replacing them with the ADTR bars made by Eibach, it's on my ever growing "list of things to do". The addco bars, specifically the front, have always fit like **** on a lowered car and the powder coat finish is a joke.

When I had the Zack Big Brake Kit the sway bar would catch on the bracket, just like you're saying. I would grind the bracket til the swaybar clears, if that's your issue

The Addco guys are very interested in photos etc. I honestly think the bar is simply 1/2 to 1 inch too long. There is no reason for it to be that far into the wheel turning radius. I want to replace mine too... All three of them!

I have the same issue. BUT, I did replace the Addco with the ADTR last year and it did NOT resolve the problem; the end still knocks with slight movement during a firm turn. I've also tried the swaybar locks, but they didn't work. I'm sick of the noise, makes it seem like something is wrong when it isn't.

I will get photo into Addco. Somehow I ended up with a smenior guy 10+!years cell number and interest in this issue. With each of your individual permission, I can share your issues along with mine. He was very concerned that there were many of us with same issue. Mine touches both sides, so I cannot be a centering issue. I wish I had the dang stock ones back!

I took a look at my setup last night. I think the Addco sway bar is just plain too wide or the ends aren't bent in enough. My endlinks are soooo close to hitting the caliper mounting bolt heads.

Strange... Mine has been on for years now and is not close to anything let alone hit and make noise. I wonder if they changed how it was made? Good luck, sounds like a horrible problem. I can't stand my cars making any undesirable/unwanted noises.

Didn't Addco have a solid bar and a larger diameter hollow bar?

I will ask the specs of each! I bought the lighter more expensive one. MYBLACKBEASTS... Which one do you have?

The solid one I believe.

I have the ADTR front bar w/ OEM end links. The end link studs on the sway bar side collide with the lower strut tower spring bracket. It doesn't seem to actually affect anything, so I don't really care. It seems to be a hit or miss on a lot of cars - some people don't have any clearance issues and others (like I) do. I think a sway bar collar should help with your issue; I could do the same but it's not an issue for me.

I ended up buying flange bolts with a smaller hex from Menards and ground an angle for a little more clearance. You can see a tiny mark where it just barely touched.

I have the solid bars from addco installed since 2008 no issues if you want to take some pictures of your issue I can take a look at mine and add some pictures of the set up maybe we can see what might be the differances

The difference is that they are not all bent perfectly the same

I've had frt & rear solid Addco bars installed since 2005... never had an issue.

Allegedly the OEM Ford swaybar end links have a smaller "head", so less chance of rubbing.

A frustrating issue. Fairly sure I bought the larger hollow bars. 2 of my cars are a tad lower too. (Note I had four stock, 2 Marauders and 2 Sport) and two were 1 inch taller in front than other two?). Chris at ADTR says he has same issues with his bars too…. And he is now making shorter sway bar end links to “raise the bar” an inch which will then clear the knuckle (bolt head) mentioned above. He told me Mid Nov… I said I would be his first customer with three sets… and would share news with you all once they are made and we confirm they work. Jerry? Can you make End links for us?
