I have replaced the lower intermediate shaft that has the two joints with a Dorman brand. I thought it would have rectified the binding when turning the steering wheel it hasn’t. I am now thinking it may be the large intermittent shaft with just one joint. I do remember my other Marauder had the same problem at 170,000 miles. I found by replacing the lower intermediate shaft did the fix. Has anyone else had any experience with this what have you found ? TY

I've always found it to be the lower intermediate shaft in my travels as well. I'll be interested to see what you find.

Finally got around to changing out the upper steering shaft. Upon removal I found the joint had some serious binding issues. Now that I have completed both lower and upper steering shafts should be good to go for another 170,000 miles. If anyone plans on doing the job secure the steering wheel with seat belt to prevent movement, Disconnect battery. Use loctite on bolts and took to spec.
