Well, the grandson has had enough of the Pensacola Bible College. I guess the restrictions have gotten to him. Took less than 30 days! Anyway, I'm leaving late Friday afternoon for a run to Pensacola and back. Will be running I95 to Richmond, then over thru "Hot" Lanta, thru Ala. to Fla. Sorry I won't have time to stop and meet some of you folks in Atlanta, but time is short again. Will get to Pensacola about 10AM Saturday, load up the car and head back. Sould be back home by 4 or 5 AM Sunday morning.

So, if you all see a black blur, it's only me. Drats! I hope the holiday weekend traffic isn't a killer road blockage.......Will have the CB on channel 19 all the way, along with the V1 and K40 laser diffuser.

Y'all have a safe weekend.......

Hey, drop him off at Bob Jones University on the way back...he'll love wearing jeans all the time and not being able to hold his friends hand till their married. Not being able to go to movies and not being allowed to go on dates without more company than the

But then again, it wouldn't do him much good at Clemson either...#2 party school in the nation I hear:cool:

Murader03,
Bob, have a safe trip and enjoy the ride. I'll try to wave as you pass Exit 160 I-95 South in Virginia.

Bob...if I wasn't headed out of town in the a.m. myself...I'd "track you down" on the interstate...probably could bring some friends with me, too...MARAUDERCHICK, Black Terror, Greyghost, the Animal...we'd have an impromptu "Breakfast Club".

This sounds like Todd's life since he got married....

Wow, I can think of lots worse things than cruising around the country in a Marauder! Like inspecting graving docks for 12 hrs. a day comes to mined. Have a safe trip, and don't let the traffic fools get you down.

Bob, I live for road trips like that. Nothing better than getting in the Big Black Car and heading off for 2000 miles in a weekend. Load the kid's stuff in the trunk, dope slap him for wasting everyone's time, and tell him if he touches the stereo he walks.

Ahh road trips!

BigDog, with all he took down in June, a bus/airplane were out of the question.

Left home at 1:30 AM Friday morning. I was setting at the school in Pensacola, Fl. at 4 PM CDT. Loaded the car and headed back north. Stopped for the night in Shorter, Ala., I think. I was beat, and the kid was tired. We hit the road again at 5 AM CDT, and I had him home, car unpacked, and I was home by 7:30 PM EDT. 32 hours driving time, included all pitt stops for gas, food, other things. Also included 3 detours to get around accidents on I-85 on the way down, and took 301 up across the Patomac River Bridge to miss the parking lot on I-95 in the DC area on the way back. I swear, that black car was invisible to the police. Thanks to the CB radio, the V1, and the K40, I was never molested by the locals.

Also got a lot of truckers talking about the car and the stainless steel letters I put in to replace my white lettering.......

Welcome back Murader03 --- Good move on taking US 301 vice I-95. Saturday was a parking lot in both directions from Frederickburg to the beltway. I suspect that Sunday was more of the same. Seems that there is never a good time on that stretch of road anymore--compliments of the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT).

Bob: Glad you made it a fun trip!

That what the Marauder was built for.............Road trips.................

I only had one State Trooper in SC stop me on the way to Atlanta last month.....

Could not get a radar "lock" on the car???? Told him it must be the paint:lol:

Always good to be home safe and sound!
