hey guys, 8 rib upgrade underway:
got the crowsfoot pulley remover tool, attached to the pulley using 3 bolts, did my best to make sure the crowsfoot was flat/planar against the bolt heads and that its was a plane parallel to the plane of the pulley face. I lubed up jack screw good, and I am using a cone shaped tip on the end of the jack screw. That tip pushes against the nose on the crankshaft I believe. When I get the jack screw going so that the bolts are being pulled back, thereby, theoretically, pulling the crank pulley off, I get so far and the pulley begins to turn. So, I lubed the nose of the crankshaft and inside circumference of pulley with pb blaster, and I’m holding here. The crank is an eagle forged crank. Thoughts as to why pulley wont come off as of yet?

Maybe its far enough off that you can wiggle and pull? Regardless, i would use a puller like this if you are not already. Also, when you put the new one on, use an installer! Do not use the crank bolt to draw it in.

blazen , thanks.
I am using a puller kit like the one you pictured in your reply. The pulley hasnt budged a bit. its very strange. The kit I am using is a loaner from autozone. I am going to go down to harbor freight and get my own kit and give that a try.
