Hello all,

I'm aware there are a TON of writeups on the process of replacing the timing chain guides. I have read a lot of writeups which start where everything is stripped down and the timing chains are exposed. I am curious if any of the master Marauder dudes have a step-by-step guide from start to finish including things like torque specs for re-installing the timing chain and cam covers and tricks like "the power steering pump pully doesn't need to be removed" and small things like that.

I'm in the process of gathering all of the parts Zack listed in his writeup, but the OEM parts are hard to find now. I will have all of them soon.

I'm aware that Google is my friend and that there are a ton of videos out there. None of them are as extensive as I would like.

If someone could point me to such a writeup I would be very thankful.

Thanks!

Rick

Check the relevant forum Stickys or Archives for possible write-ups. Search function here isn't very intuitive. Google will sometimes take you to a relevant post that may help.

Did that. The only one I can find is great after the timing cover is already off.

For the easy button you can buy Ford M-6004-A464 Timing Kit. It will have complete instructions.

Id rather pay $300 than $600 for the parts.

I just figured someone in the past had done a writeup on it.

I can email you the Ford instructions if you give me your email address. They are pretty thorough.

You could be the one to post the entire procedure once you do the job!
