Well I was always partial to Yellow fogs so it is something I have been meaning to do for 20 years. Also It would be nice to convert to LED with maybe just a bit more output, not much as too much light in fog is No Bueno.

So I am looking for suggestions.

Thanks,
Jay

I'd recommend 3000k HID bulbs.

Yellow is supposed to be better for fogs. I have yellow on my truck and they work well.

The HID would be a housing swap?

I too have thought yellow fog lights with a 3000 to 5000 out put would be a great upgrade for adverse weather conditions.

Swap or slight modification to the HID bulb.

I can convert your existing foglights or supply new ones & 55W HIDs.

"Rule of thumb" concerning HID bulbs. The lower the "k" number the higher light output.

Do they make Yellow HID bulbs?

Yes. You will need to research "H1 HID bulbs"...as FBM said, 3000K puts out a yellow color. Many different brands and prices range from $15 and up.

Why do you recommend HID as opposed to LED?

Interesting, I see diode dynamics released a fog light which can be adapted to our application as well

OP this is the only CORRECT way to improve the driving lights, everything else is hack ********. Jamming a LED bulb or HID bulb (and boy did we have some janky HID installs back in the day) is not going to get you real world improvements. It looks like yellow options exist for both the morimoto lights (which I run in white) as well as the diode dynamics.
