A long while back I had posted a seat heater issue and thought I had traced it to a loose fuse. I was able to turn the seat heater ON and it would stay on. Before if I turned them on they would immediately turn right off. The switch would go out and you'd have to reset them by going key off/key on again.

Turns out they do work perfectly until you add weight to the driver seat. Looks like I have a bad heating element. As soon as the seat is occupied - they kick off. Not sure who else has them but even though I live in Florida - I love them.

I am going to remove and disassemble the seat and do a write-up. These cars are 20 years old and any help to keep them working is surely welcome. So yeah - not sure what it entails but obtaining the correct heating element sounds like the most difficult portion.

Look for my determination and write up after the new year. During the Eaton swap the car isn't going anywhere.

Kenny, I know that has been an issue on the Crossfire as well. They have a writeup on the crossfire forum that might be helpful.

just buy a universal seat heat kit off amazon, use those pads in place of the oem ones.
