It depends on the traffic status...if the roads are wide open I leave it on...if the traffic sucks(always does) I have it off.

OD off everywhere with speed limit under 50. I like the 30-40 mph purr from the Kook's headers. OD makes it too quiet. :coolman:

Yep, same here--otherwise it's always hunting.

I leave O/D on. Especially when I'm always going over 40mph.

I leave it off until 60. That 3,4 shift out @ 40 gets old real quick.

Personal preference is leave it off cruising under 45mph. My MM is programmed to shift 3/4 @ 42mph under slow acceleration. What might be best depends on your pcm program and gears (4.10 for me).

Any extended traffic below 45 mph I turn it off, I often cruise the beachfront communities on the Gulf of Mexico and I manual shift with O/D off. I like the way it sounds !!!!!

Why would manual shifting hurt the transmission ?

OD never, ever, goes on until I'm on the freeway.

I leave OD on on my way to work, going for the MPG. If I'm doing something interesting, OD off.

OFF. I love hearing the exhaust pop and burble when slowing for stops. Can't imagine how cool aftermarket exhaust sounds if the factory one sounds this cool.

I rarely turn my OD off. With the revised shifting with my DR program I don't have any trouble with the tranny hunting anymore. Don't really see any other reason to turn the OD off.

Yup, what he said ^^^^, unless I just want to hear the exhaust or feel the pull. Even in OD, the car still pulls sufficiently in city traffic w/o kicking into 3rd.
