Sorry to keep hitting the list, but not sure how I missed seeing how much unwashed windshield is left on the drivers side with a 22” wiper blade. Anyone try going to 23” or even 24” on the left side? I think there’s room there. May be harder on the wiper motor though…?

I believe a longer blade will scrape/rub the rubber seal at the top of the windshield...not certain and too dark/rainy to go out and look...lol.

I use 24" on both of them. Almost cleans off the whole windshield.

Thanks to you both. I have the right wiper in the classic “high ride” position for our cars (lays 3” higher on the windshield than the left, which looks dumb) and it’s on the edge of the windshield side and top, so don’t think I have any room there at all. I have several inches of the left side not getting washed though, so I’ll try a longer wiper there. Haven’t driven the car hardly at all in two years so noticing all this stuff again.

Yeah I read up on that, and half the time folks end up bending the arm. I’ll see if I can orient the right arm lower on the window, but it would be a cosmetic change only, I’d still leave it at 22” blade I think. I will try a 23 or 24” on the left as I could use the higher sweep.

Change them both to 24" and adjust them down so they sit on the lowest part of Windsheild.

I adjusted the passenger side down from where it was riding high on the windshield, and it looks a lot better now, almost even with the low drivers side when parked, but with a 22” blade it’s at the extreme edge of the windshield glass, so a 24” would put it 1” over the rubber.
I did put a 24” on the drivers side though, and it works great.

I figure it’s the brand; these RainX have a mounting hole for the post that will vary 1” depending on which side of the wiper you insert the post into. But if I turn them around I’m actually further off the edge even with the 22” on the passenger side. Different wipers with a center mounting hole might allow a longer wiper. But I’m covering the whole windshield on the right so I’m good.
