Unless you’re comparing apples to apples…. Meaning unless both starters are brand new. You can’t say the new one spins faster and sounds different. A new starter is always going to spin faster and sound better than one that has hundreds if not thousands of starts on it…… This is just an “I need to feel special by doing something different post.” I’ve worked on at least a dozen Marauders and Vics with Stainless Works, Kooks, Cobra shorties, and factory manifolds. I’ve never run into a situation where there was a need to change from the factory starter. And of course it’s going to fit, the coyotes share the same bell housing pattern, this isn’t a massive revelation….. It’s about as pointless as a time Marauder came into my shop with a Motorcraft FL-500S from a coyote, yes, it fits but why would you go away from the FL820S, which has been designed for and proven to be the perfect filter for the car?
