Hi.
The last two drive times after full operating temperature, the fuel system goes offline on the next start up. no fuel pump sounds. no pressure in the fuel rails after it stalls and never starts.
Disconnecting the battery and reconnecting doesn't seem to fix it. the fuel cut off switch in the trunk feels fully depressed. disconnected it, shorted it. still no fuel.
After 30-45 minutes with it all connected like it should be, it starts right up, drives with no problems. it seems heat related.

how do I go about diagnosing p1233 related problem? components? wiring?
Thanks.

I would rotate and or replace relays first… but sounds like a fuel pump going bad to me.

The code could indicate a fuel pump driver module ( FPDM) that is working intermittently for some reason. It’s an IC board covered by a black box about 2 inches on a side, located on driver side inside trunk behind interior covering.
Back a few years, I was able to get one from an 04 grand marquis at a junkyard. I think they are interchangeable crown vic -grand marquis - marauder. Ford Part number research can confirm this. If you can get one cheap you could swap it out & see. Mustang Eddie on this site may have one.

Again, had same problem. I ended up replacing fuel pump to fix the problem.
