Hey all,
been a member on crownvic.net for 21 years, and recently joined this site a few months ago. I figure it's time I can share this with y'all.
I have had 4 panthers:
1994 CVLX-sold in 06
2003 LX sport-sold in 2012
2007 P71-sold in 2018
and now....
2004 Mercury Marauder. I found this thing in September, it had been sitting for over 2 years, I don't know why. Previous owner replaced the motor out of a Mustang Mach 1. It needed a ton of love, so I went through everything. This was also a great way to teach my 11 year old the basics of cars, and really just for something him and I can do together.
Since September, we towed it home and got right to work. All new fluids and filters for everything. New plugs and boots. all new brake rotors, pads and calipers, new master cylinder , new front struts and rear air bags, new control arms, partial new exhaust, gutted and cleaned the hell out of the inside (still more work to do there), did some body work and had it repainted. Now it's my daily while my truck and Charger sit in the garage......
BUT, still got work to do, and I forgot how much I love these panthers, so easy and fun. Ultimately, I plan to give this to my son when he is old enough....maybe lol.
