Plans are to put in a junkyard 05 aviator motor that is of unknown condition and miles. Before I go thru the work of pulling the motor in the car and putting this one in what are something’s worth doing or checking? I figure at least timing chains, oil pan gasket, rear main seal. What about top end and bottom end?

I have a replacement engine in a totaled marauder in my back yard.
Problem is I don’t have the knowledge or expertise to remove it for my Black.
It will need all these things before I put it in the black. 274000 miles and the oil pump failed. However it has an upgraded differential and the big brake package. The trans was rebuilt at 198000. This was my daily driver.
Replace the oil pump also!!

There's a coolant tube that goes under the intake manifold.

Rear cooling head mod.

Exhaust manifold bolts/studs.

Things to consider.
