Does anyone have a clue how to remove the dashboard trim panel on the passenger side that contains the clock on the 300A, that long "metal matrix" piece? The shop manual is singularly unhelpful on this issue. I got the driver's side piece containing the pedal adjustment switch off with no problem. I'm trying to get the front panel of the dashboard off to see if there's enough room to drill out a spot for an Autometer oil temp guage and mount it in the dash below the tach. Thanks

Pry-up / grip the right-hand end with your fingers ( no need to use a screwdriver or anything ) and work your way across the panel; it's held in place via a series of metal push clips ( for lack of a better word ) across the top and bottom.

Installation is a simple matter of aligning the clips and pushing it back in place.

Thanks, boys(?).

Yet another example of how this site logarithmically increases my enjoyment of this car.
