I already done the repair from one of the members which lasted probably a couple years I would have to check.....what else could it be. I had been noticing lately as I was driving during the day I would see the lights on the dash flash like when your in a tunnel and the lights come on but they hadn't gone out like tonight luckily was only a couple blocks from home.
other random electrical issues....sometimes my ac controls wouldnt light up and sometimes my stereo would be on and I would hear the sub in the rear but no sound meaning the head unit amp wasn't on. turn car off and it would usually come back on.

What repair that you've already done are you talking about? My first thought was the LCM, but that wouldn't mess up your EATC lights or the stereo. Gotta be a wire somewhere under the dash that's been chaffed or kinked. I had it happen to me where my brake lights wouldn't come on; it was a chaffed wire in the harness near the steering column, if I remember correctly (this happened 12-13 years ago). Maybe check the fuse panel under the dash as well to see if something isn't right.

but makes me a little nervous last time I twisted to get under a dash I lost two fingers on my left hand. been 2 years and lots of hand therapy and they still don't work.
my first thought the way it had been clicking lately was the LCM byt the chaffed wire makes sense I'll check it out thanks.

FBM, if he's around, said he guarantees his work for the life of the LCM. Doesn't mean it can't still break. I'd get in touch with him and see what he thinks.

He's on Mercury Marauder Owner's on Facebook. You can still message him even if you aren't friends.

oh yeah we've talked many times before....I was here way back in the day with my new 2003 but when they bought it back I had to search til probably 2020 when I found my non running non computer having sparkplug launched fried coil mushroom in backseat black sunroof car. I think I sent him my LCM as soon as I got her running. insult to injury last week my ac stopped working....then my lights. but shoulder specialist put me on some strong steroids for a week and I went to bed that night with my lungs on fire coughing like crazy. but.....I woke up feeling like something was different......holy cow my pain in my armpit was gone. 2 1/2 years ago I had spinal surgery went home and that night bled out....had a huge mass out the side of my neck, 3 hours after getting to ER I passed away for about 5 minutes. when I woke up in the icu I thought I was having a heart attack cause I had insane pain in my armpit. has never gone away even after a better spinal surgery. tonight was my last steroid I'm praying the pain doesn't come back.
so having said all that....just like myrawdr.....yup I'm the one that got that plate.....she is a fighter and cant be kept down she will rise again. she just went over 200000 miles as my daily driver other than terrible paint she is a good girl. sorry for my novel....I'm in a talkative mood tonight probably cause I'm nervous the pain will be back tomorrow
