Car cranks but doesn't start. Plugged in OBD2 and no codes show up. l pressed Schraeder valve on the fuel rail there is definitely fuel pressure.
When crank is spinning the RPM gauge moves smoothly so I don't thinks its the crank sensor. I am thinking relays but wouldn't that show up on the OBD scanner?
Can someone give me good input on this issue?

Check the fuse that controls the alarm.
I once had that fuse blown couldn’t figure it out until we replaced it

Ok I will look at that .
When you say alarm are you referring to the chiming noise when key is in the ignition?
Thanks

Car is starting have not done any repairs. I got a hold of OBD tool and there is no codes, This is very vexing would like to know what caused the no start.
Anybody have suggestions how to determine what the fault is ? I dont want to get stranded somewhere.

crank no start with no codes most likely is the fuel pump. Ever since we’ve been getting ethanol the decline of these pumps has increased quite a bit.
You can put a fuel gauge with a 6 foot lead and put the gauge underneath your wiper and when that car don’t start you’ll notice you’ll have very little fuel pressure.
I believe two of my dad‘s cars have required fuel pump replacements within the last two years, the fuel pump went out in my blue car about two years ago
my DTR when it had about 52,000 miles the fuel pump would intermittently stop working when my buddy John owned the car. He went to the extent of putting a fuel pump driver, module and countless times to the dealer before we just replace the pump and that car is never had a single problem. It has 79,000 miles on it and it went bad. But my car was 210,000 miles got the original fuel pump in it and it’s working fine

When you get in your car and go to crank it, do you hear the fuel pump engage? Based on my personal experience, I don't think you'd get a no start/start situation with a bad fuel pump; when mine went out, it went w/o any warnings. But if it cranks that means it's getting spark and air, so that only leaves fuel not getting to where it needs to be...

Thanks guys Ill check on the fuel delivery system

Did you move the shift level at all?
It’s possible you weren’t fully in park so the car cranked, but wouldn’t start. It could be your range sensor.
Happened to me in my Lincoln MKS last month . Unfortunately the range sensor is inside the transmission on the Lincoln $500 labor.
The marauders range sensor is a five minute job under the car

Ok it happened again cranks no start and this time the scanner is showing codes
P1237 & P0191. So it appears I have issue within fuel delivery system.
I am going to check wiring first and then look at replacing components.
Advice on P1237 & P0191 is welcome

Its definately a fuel related issue

Well... It appears its the the fuel pump. Ran power directly to it 12V 2 amps and nothing not a sound it's dead.
Already ordered a Wix fuel filter what should I use for a fuel pump replacement?

Sometimes they are so easy to diagnose. It’s looking you in the face.
I believe you can just order a fuel pump and hanger assembly from O’Reillys, I know some people go with Aeromotive, walboro or stock.

Dont under stand why it did not immediately throw some codes at least I know what the issue is now.
Bummer about your wrecked car.

Glad you got it figured out and had the car at home and not stranded somewhere. When mine died I just happened to be in the parking lot of a mechanic's shop as I had just followed my mom there to have her car looked at. I don't remember what they used for a new fuel pump, I just remember it was a $750 bill.

I'm lucky I can do it myself but I think it's going to be very unpleasant. I have a full tank of gas. Can a siphon hose pass down to this cars tank unimpeded or will I encounter some kind of restriction device?

The way to drain it is with an external pump in the line. If you don't get it down to about 5 gallons you are correct about it being an unpleasant job you'll be swimming in gas.

yeah that is what I thought

Ok... got the fuel tank drained down to about 3/8 and also got the six 8 millimeter screws loosened.
I can assume you don't cut wires so where is the disconnect plug located? Also there is a
clearance issue. So what procedure is required to remove the pump mechanism from the tank
without mangling anything? This is such a pain in the ..... I remember when I was a kid I replaced my mothers
Ford Gran Torino fuel pump and filter. That was a piece of cake.

I changed mine this spring. Here is a good video. There is an electrical connector just above the tank. You need to remove the RR wheel to gain access. The guy in the video used a pick to release the connector. It worked for me too.

Thanks for the video link. When you did yours did you replace the whole entire unit or just the motor and what brand parts did you use?

I tried locating an OEM fuel pump replacement cant find one. I want to replace the whole entire assembly.
What is a good high quality after market replacement for the Marauder?
