Well, she did it again tonight...
The MM was in the garage, minding her own business, and all of a sudden the panic alarm goes off. Horn blaring, lights flashing, wife and kids yelling. So I run to the kitchen where the keys are laying on the counter and out the door to turn off the commotion. Switch the ingition to "ON" and she quites down.
This is the third time since I've had her. The first time was after just getting into the car with the key in the ignition but still off. I wasn't even touching it. The second time was just like tonight, car in the garage and the transmitter laying on the kitchen counter.
I wonder if my transmitter is screwy, my MM is picking up signals from outerspace, or she just likes to b***h every once in a while. I'll ask the svc guys next week when she's in for some "work".
Anyone else's MMs having random panic attacks?

Haven't seen that myself, but I'd try taking the batteries out of your remote and using the backup one for a week or two. If the problem goes away you know it was the remote you disabled. If the problem does NOT go away, reverse the remotes, take the batteries out of the backup and leave them in the primary. Try it again for a few weeks. If then the problem goes away you know it was the backup remote. If the problem still doesn't go away then I'd suspect something in the car's electronics.

I had a similar problem with mine. It was the glass sensor being too sensitive. Mine would go off if the dog barked too close to the car. My wife's car alarm will go off if there is a big thunder clap closeby.

I don't have an alarm, just the OEM PATS. From what I understand, the PATS works off the programmed keys, holding out the ignition if a "wrong" key is used. Will this set of the horns and lights? The owners manual is very vauge on the PATS system.
I'm going to try Fourth's suggestion and swap transmitters. Someone wise once said the simplest answer is usually correct...

When The Blackbird was new(er), we had an interval of several weeks when the horn would blow all by itself, randomly...sometimes just a toot, other times a good honk...thought it might be one of the key fobs...nope...finally disconnected the horn so as not to annoy the neighbours (and myself) any further. Eventually re-connected the horn and the problem hasn't come back...

Strange, this also has happenned several times lately with my Marauder. Horn or siren starts beeping and also my interior lights come on.
I noticed a neighbor seems to have difficulties with his Nissan and I was wondering if any transmitter remote interference was occurring here.

I think your MM is just bored and wants you to take her out for a good run! I had a similar problem years ago with my '70 Cyclone GT. It did not have an alarm, but every once in while in the wee hours the horn would sart blaring for no reason. Usually this occured when I was not home. My brothers and nieghbors insissted the car was posessed, and was calling out for me! It only happened once when I was home, aobut 2 in the morning. I think it had something to do with the rim blow feature of the horn. But I could never find a problem.
