After spending 2 plus hours last night cutting 5 young people free from their car, I just wanted to tell all to be careful out there this weekend, and every day. No life threatening injuries, but summer is no fun in a cast. Have a SAFE 4th.

Lemme just add to that....don't go drinking and boating either! Spending my 4th of July on duty with the Coast Guard here in St. Louis, and we've already had to help some idiots off the rocks/dead trees along the river bank because they couldn't figure out how to stay out in the river and not on the bank. As you might expect, from the home of the Anheuser-Busch Brewery, beer was involved...

I secon d that!! I am out on my boat for the weekend and I fear the knuckleheads who feel that drinking enhances the boating experience. My trip out was uneventful and I want my trip back to be the same.

That is the reason I don't do much driving on the 4th. I stay and do my drinking at the house.

Even if you aren't the one that caused an accident, if you are drinking you will regret it.
