How about an ejection seat pressure gauge!!!!!!!! That way you get more bang for the buck when you decide to get rid of any peskey back seat drivers.

any suggestions for a 3rd gauge in place of the lighter?
Before you remove the lighter please note that the two existing gauges take up more than 2/3 of the gauge pod. (assuming that you would want them centered in a symetrical manner)
I would love to get the gauge pod piece with NO CUTOUTS so that I could neatly mount three gauges in it!
Does such a part exist?
Maybe even a wider one for four?
What about using parts from two to make room for a four or five gauge cluster with or without a lighter?
Just some thoughts...

David

...or the trigger for a trunk-mounted Vulcan Electronic Machine Cannon...

Check out the past posts (search) in regard to "console mods, third guage, etc.". Or you could pm "MI2QWK4U". He has placed a third guage in and he also moved the lighter to the right side of the console pod. About the best I can suggest.

Look at my thread for reference photos. I ordered a gauge pod for my third gauge mod. There is plenty of room for the third gauge and it can be spaced uniformly. The only problem is the hole is not "canted" like the second gauge (the first also has a slight cant) and you'll need an angle ring.
The techs at Team Ford suggested that, ideally, "critical" gauges should be in a pillar pod, with lesser important gauges down in the console. Point being that it's easier to keep an eye on the pillar pod gauges.
Real world, though, it's a lot of work to relocate gauges that are already wired to the gauge console. Jason suggested trans temp or water temp.
Water temp was interesting, because we already have a temp gauge. I am putting in the Meziere pump, and Jason suggested a digital temp gauge would show a more accurate temp reading than the one in the dash, which he says has a 20 degree error and does not measure temp where the water is hottest in the block.
So, I went with water temp as the third gauge (the green color matches the other two) and trans temp/tire pressure/temp in the pillar (these two gauges are also digital and are teal.
