Ok folks, its been many years since I've own a car with ATX. How do you launch this thing? Just hit the gas, ride the brake, drop from neutral into drive??? I was too embarassed to ask my gear heads friends this question. Ah, the anominity of the net :D

Don't drop it from neutral.

Brake torque up to just over 1000 - 1500 rpm's....stock at least....then hit it when the light goes green.

This the the way I'd launch a stock Marauder. Depends if you have full rear tire pressure....and your mods.

If you have a s/c....totally different story :) ....right gents!

My standard procedure is to let the light turn green and then make a full two-second count. One onethousand, two onethousand - and then punch it. Then enjoy the look on the ricer's face as you blow past him after giving him a two second handicap. But that's just me.

Ah, the anominity of the net :DYeah, forget that neutral drop. as described above ^^^^ and just for fun, turn off O/D and do manual shift, the 1-2 shift when done manually will bark the tires even bone stock.:D

Yeah, the drop is way too hard on the trans - the manual shift sounds like the way to go. Although mine doesn't chirp on the one-two upshift - just need more break-in, or is this a sign I'm getting fat?

I used to get the bark, if I upshifted at ~5200 RPM. I don't seem to be getting it this year. I think I've lost weight since the winter too, so it ain't that ! ;)

I get a chirp at 5400 rpms and a solid bark at 5900 rpms. I have gained weight.:D
