What is the member of a public group mean? How to join?
chrish, Go to "Preferences", then "Group Memberships" on the left sidebar. You can join an area group of Marauders like Windy City, Northeast Marauders, Sunshine State, etc. Just follow the easy directions to the group(s) that fit your needs -- and click "Join Group".

When events are planned or established, you should be included in the notices. You will also show up in the listing of group members/leaders that you can see from the main page.

I think that is how it works.
