I posted only one time before to inquire about purchasing a Marauder rather than the 300 C I had on order Several members on this board were good enough to respond to my post and provide outstanding advice on the board and by PM's. Thank you very much to everyone.

Last Thursday I flew to Michigan to pick up my new Marauder (04 Silver) from Varsity Lincoln Mercury. Prior to my arrival the car had spent a few days at Alternative Automotive having a Triology kit installed along w/ 4.10 rearend gears and widened rims and tires.

I am not prone to either exageration or superlatives so kindly accept my opinoins as the "true gen". The car is simply amazing - its extremely powerful, quiet and a real pleasure to drive. It produces torque from the moment you put the key in the ignition - it pulls very hard and winds up with amazing speed.

The power band is flat and is in no way subject to "peaks". Driven easily, (staying out of boost), it performs identically to any well turned out, unmodified automobile and I have no problem observing the 25 mph and 35 mph speed limits in Fairfield Count Ct - or on New York City Streets. Driven hard, its a match for just about anything coming close to the price. It is just plain fun to drive!

The guys at Varsity are first rate dealers and there were a bunch of Marauders on the lot late last week; Jerry Barnes at Triology could not have been more helpful, provided a better product and supplied better advice/guidance. Lidio at Alternative Automotive performed the install to an exceedingly high standard. Everything along the way was explained and there were no surprises throughout. In summary, I can highly recommend Lidio if you are contemplating similar work on a Marauder and the Triology kit turns that 4.6 into a highly trained monster.

Anyway - sorry for the long post - but thats the deal.

Welcome aboard Roger! Glad you went with the MM - I guess I don't have to ask if you feel like it was the right choice. I wasn't fortunate (or foresightful) enough to order mine with the Trilogy system installed already, but that's the way to go. Enjoy your car and hang out with us often. BTW, since you already have the SC installed, what are you going to do for an encore? :D

I enjoyed reading about your Trilogy S/Cing experience Roger, because I can relate atleast in part because of my own experience. Some of the things you were looking to accomplish w/your car were a bit different than what I wanted (such as the exhaust note being quiet) but your primary goal of getting amazing torque and acceleration from your Marauder driving experience was the same as my goal. And it's good to hear that you've accomplished what you set out to.

Congratulations Roger. And I must say, I think it's a great choice that you've made. I look forward to meeting up w/you later on this month.

That's not what we call 'Preaching' Roger, that's called 'Testifying'.

Welcome!

Now that statement puts this into perspective. I hadn't thought of that before. A very good and accurate point!!! I wish that most others would see the truth in that.
