I ordered a Deadpedal from Kenny Brown today. $75 plus freight [$86.?? total] They said it would not ship until Monday. They asked if I heard about it from this forum and I said YES. They also said the install instructions on this board were better than the ones they send with the product...

They are absolutely right about the instructions. Their instructions are minimal and the pictures are not helpful at all. Go with the instructions on this site and you'll have that pedal installed in about an hour.

Slowpoke where did you find the info about the dead pedal?
I looked at kennybrown.com but did not see it listed.

It is my write-up. Hope it helps. You will love the dead pedal. Took a 2050 mile trip over X-mas for NC to FL and got more than $86 worth of use out of it.

I simply called them on the phone after reading the info in this board. Their website lacks info...in fact they could probably sell more stuff if they arranged their site a little better.

I need one of these too. The bracket looks like shiny metal. I wonder about having it powder-coated to match the kick panel.

The metal bracket is behind the kick panel. The only think you'll see is the pedal after install.

I'll mention that Kenny Brown is a Supporting vendor on this site, they just haven't sent me anything in terms of graphics to actually put up to promote them...

I lOVE my dead pedal.... you don't realize how much this car needs one, it almost makes up for the "lack of support" seats :)

I'm gonna try to install the pedal tomorrow. it's awefully cold up here and the only garage i can use is unheated! But... I got all my tools ready and I am anxious to start drilling holes.

deadpedal now installed.
took about 50 minutes. probably would have taken longer if it was not 13 degress here! Instructions from this website combined with factory instructions made the job smooth and easy. I ws a little taken aback by the quantity and location of the wiring harness behind the plastic panel. It made using a socket wrench tight work, but I completed the job and it works great!
now i have a place to rest my left foot and it makes driving a little bit easier!
