After 1 year, I can say I still feel as excited about it as the day I bought it.:banana2:

UNIQUE

It's great to see folks in cars that cost a lot more, oogling our cars. It has a certain appeal, to just about all walks of life. Based on the looks and comments that I've gotten this past year.

Even after a meriad of issues :fire: :bs: :fire:

Including having the driver side cylinder head replaced, the rubber trim around the parking lamps, etc. I still feel as excited about it as the day I bought it.

This site has been great and instrumental in the development of our cars, and our knowledge of them. And most importantly, I think, is it has brought quite a few of us together in different ways. Particulary important, at a time when the world is pretty divided about things, that we can put all that aside and talk about cars and have FUN. :burnout: :burnout: :burnout: :burnout:

I have also posted fuel mileage results, that I've been tracking for almost a year. I don't know how some of you guys are getting such good mileage. Either you do a lot of HWY miles, or I have a serious lead foot. If you look at the chart it kinda shows better mileage in the winter months, huuumm, interesting, probably cause I have to scale it back a notch then.

Thanks for all your insight and help throughout the past year.

Interesting mileage graph you have there. I know what you mean about having a car that people stare at. I see people who drive $100,000 cars staring at my car even when I'm driving mellow! How cool is that? It was in May that I had my Marauder one year, and even I still have to look back at it and stare w/admiration of it's body style every time I park it somewhere. There was this guy last week who I passed on a major road who followed me through traffic, and when I turned into a parking lot to stop at a store, he also pulled into the parking lot just to get out of his car w/his little boy to admire my car and ask me questions about it. This is one of the coolest cars I've ever owned. And who would've thought that it would ever be a 4 door? And now it's the fastest one I've ever owned too. I'm getting between 12, and 12.5 MPG w/my car around town.

I was driving down a 4 lane highway at 55 mph this weekend. My MM was all shined up and looking good. I was just cruising.

A old but mint condition Galaxie 500 convertible pulls up next to me and the guy waves, points and says "Awesome car man!"....I'm like WTF? This guys telling me I got a nice car and he's driving a classic!

I get more ooooh's...and ahhhh's than I ever thought I would.

Man I love these cars!

Your mileage seems close overall to mine. (I'm stock) Is yours California emissions compliant?

Are you using gasoline or that blended stuff that has a lower energy release?

@80 on the HWY I get 19.7-19.8. Mixed town & Hwy I get 17.3. I only drop below 16 if I am hotrodding it.

Around here all the gas is mixed with ethanol.

I think (not sure) 5%.

Anybody know?

I was curious what you were getting with the 4.56's. I still might go that route, since I don't need to be doin' 140 MPH anyway. I want to be able to smoke people around town, and at the track.

Not that I'm aware of.
