I took the Marauder back to the dealer today to have the sub fixed and the rear end looked at. I have an inclined driveway and in order to get in and out I have to take it at an angle. When I back out to the left it makes a loud snapping and popping sound. The dealer said they couldn't repolicate the noise and couldn't find anyhting wrong. Anyone else have this problem or any idea what could be causing it?

Talk to 4th Horseman. He had the same issue, think he got it fixed.

If I ever get into the same situation where my dealer is unable to reproduce the problem, I will seriously consider putting the tech into my car and taking him to the place where it happens, as long as I'm sure it will happen there everytime.

I'm about to that point. I live right down the street too.

My problem changed but never went entirely away. Mine no longer makes the loud popping noise that it did, but I still get a sort of squeeky noise when I **** the car diagonally going through a deep gutter.
I put the service manager in the passenger seat and drove him over to where I can make it happen every time, as they were also saying they couldn't duplicate it. He heard it and said something about it sounding like a rubber noise.
"Cool," I thought. "He's heard it. We'll get this fixed." No dice. They tightened down my body mounts which did exactly nothing for the noise. *sigh* This was at the dealer that did my 4.10 gear install. I'm thinking of going back to the dealer where I bought the car to see if they can help. They've struck out previously, but the service manager there offered to put it in the hands of his suspension specialist that handles all of their dealerships in the area. I think after MVII I'll probably take him up on that offer.

Other sources of snapping/popping/klunking are loose bolts or defective/misaligned bushings on the sway bar and/or control arms. I had a very slight occasional klunk that turned out to be the sway bar end links not being tightened enough when I installed it...they need to be tighter than ADDCO says in their instruction sheet...
BB, did your dealer DO anything, or just drive around and say they can't hear it?

I've pretty much replaced most of my rear suspension at this point, so I don't know what's wrong. Kidding, of course, but what's really frustrating about this issue is that 99% of the time the rear of the car is quiet as can be. Speed bumps, normal gutters, pot holes, etc. Quiet. It's only when going diagonally through really deep gutters.

I know what you mean...the only time I hear anything is when I'm backing out of my driveway. I'm going to see if I can take the tech home with me this afternoon and get him to listen to it there. It really sounds like something major is breaking back there..but has no effect on anything what so ever

My 03MM had the popping noise every time when pullng in the driveway at home. When the rear axle was replaced under warranty, the noise went away with the rear axle. Production date was 07/02.

I've had my axle replaced as per the TSB, but I still have noise. *shrug*
