How to determine car info?

Noticed one of the posters listed his car info like this:

2004 BLACK Mercury Marauder 300A
DOB 10/31/2003
__________________

Can someone tell me how I could determine the model I have and it's "DOB"? Do I need to ask the factory for that info or is it somewhere on the car?

We are fortunate enough to have several "Ford/L-M insiders" here to whom you can PM/email your VIN# and they can give you detailed info on your car from Ford's OASIS system. SouLRioT (http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forums/member.php?u=903) does it for folks most of the time.
