Sorry I haven’t been able to post or be as active here as I would like lately.

I moved into a new home about 4 weeks ago and till about a day ago I had no ISP there… only at work with DSL. But fell behind at work because of the new house moving thing and couldn’t work as much OT as I normally do either, so I cut back on the e-mails and forums for a little while. Plus I haven’t done any thing new with my own MM or raced it in about five weeks with all that’s been going on with home and work.

But this past Saturday at the Fun Ford event at Norwalk I did run a personal best in my MM in some very, very hot, humid weather. My MM needed a new posi which is one of the reasons I didn’t race it much as well. But with that all up to speed now with an Eaton posi, I ran a stellar 11.57 and just under 119MPH. This is with the 50shot of NOS on top of the Trilogy 13.8psi of boost. Since I now run 100 octane unleaded race fuel when I know I’m going to race and NOS the car… as long as the bottle is full I’m using it.

While waiting in the heat for my first run I got so sick of the heat/weather and all the waiting because of the size of the event and the turn out, I actually sat in my MM with a buddy with the hood shut and the A/C running for a while till only minutes before the 11.57 pass took place!! As I’ve mentioned in other posts in the past that this for now is still all I’m going to do to my own MM for now. The trans and converter are original still and so is the entire motor and the complete exhaust as well. In a few days its getting a fresh trans and the ’04 MM torque converter because its been confirmed to be a little looser which I think will be perfect for my application. After that maybe a 11.40 something I’d expect.

Thanks

Congrats on the new house!!you gotta take car of business at the homestead . I have noticed fewer posts not just yours . It's that time of year everyone's busy . Also congradulations on your personal best ET. You know your car's fast when a major mod nets you a tenth or so . If your not on top yet you sure must have a nice veiw:bows: :bows: :bows: :bows: :bows:

Congrats Lidio, it was a stellar run! As he said, it was hot and humid in Norwalk, and he wasnt the only one running the A/C in the staging lanes! You should have heard the crowd and the announcer after that run! They were loving it. Hail to the King of the modular motor! The more I see of his work, the more im convinced that no one builds up and tunes cars better than Lidio.

It WAS a beautifull thing......however....

After all you blown Marauders left and I was the only one left on Sunday, the announcer kept getting confused everytime I ran and didn't go below 13.5...."must have trouble with the car..." I once heard on the radio!!!!

You folks stole the show....and Lid...dammmmn!!!! Way to raise the bar man!

Hope the basement is getting done and all is well at the home front.:D

What a weekend!

Lidio finds a new personal best and sets the bar even higher for a MM with such few mods.

Barry also finds a new personal best while putting up some truly amazing NA numbers.

And I am finally able to break into the 12s.

All of this with very hot and humid weather.

Needless to say, my enthusiasm with the MM continues to grow every day. This MM has become my FAV car of all time now....and that's really something to say.

Congrats All! And way to go Lid! Looking forward to some low 11s on a cool fall day!

Way to go Lidio!!!:banana2: Ya know, you would actually beat a Dodge Viper and also the mighty 2005 Ford GT in the 1/4 mile in their stock configurations w/your 4,200 LB car? How cool is that??? BTW, you must have a roll cage in your marauder now. uh?

WOOOOOOW! Great Time!

Curious, since several have comented as to what the temp and humidity was?

The heat index is 110* today.

Not sure about the exact numbers, but I'd have to guess 85-87 degrees at about 95% humidity.

It was 91 trackside on Friday, averaged 87 to 94 on Saturday, and 76 Sunday morning which again rose to the high 80's.

Humidity was better than 80% as it was supposed to rain all weekend , but didn't until 20:15 on Sunday early evening.
