I know its only July, well, been more like late September here, but I'm thinking ahead to the winter. Is the wheel for the Crown Vic Interceptor available from Tire Rack or TireDirect? I did some looking and found that Cooper makes the correct sizes I'll need based on the posts I've read here. Have not checked prices yet, but a dealer 1 mile from my house usually has very attractive prices. Tirerack's site lists 16" wheels for $49 for the CV, are these the same as the CVI wheels? I wouldn't be a bit surprized if I need the snows in October this year the way our weather has been. Summer? What SUMMER? :mad2:

Call Cy at the Tirerack. We dealt with him last Winter, when we did a group buy. DTD offers aftermarket steel rims. You'll be best off to buy the CVPI 16" steel rims, if you can get a good deal on them. We used Michelin Artic Alpine all around for the winter setup. They seem to be the best for the money.

Here is the info from our old FAQ page:

2003 Interceptor rims (for winter tire package) (215/65-16s {front} and 225/70-16s {rear} recommeded to maintain an accurate speedometer) 3W7Z-1007-CA

This is true....^^^^

The tire rack has better prices on new steelies than the junk yards offer used ones. Don't wait too long into winter, as they (tire rack) sell out by mid December.

Used the banner last night to purchse two rear tires from Tirerack. BTW, the sale price has lowered to $84.
